Fest Blues Kolin 2011 is an international music festival of blues and blues roots influenced music with an emphasis on program diversity and originality. Festival is organized by Music Promotion Kolín association in collaboration with Czechblues.com agency, providing festival dramaturgy. For the visitors is prepared a very interesting and quality program. In Saturday, the May 14^th, during the afternoon open air session, which will traditionally take place at the Charles Square in the center of Kolín, present from 2 p.m. local bands from different regions of the Czech country. This part of the festival will be completely free entry. Evening international program will be located in the hall of MSD beside the Charles Square. There will be three bands program from 7 p.m. with the headline concert gig at 8 p.m., between performances hear live music in the foyer.

Famous slovak-czech duo Beňa & Ptaszek with special guest, german drummer Alf List, will open the evening stage. The dominant feature of the head program will be a concert performance of one of the most acclaimed contemporary performer of the modern swamp blues, american multi-instrumentalist Kenny Neal, the owner of many prestigious awards. Experts and fans of blues music praised him for its creative, rugged style same as sensitive and soulful expression within the traditions of Louisiana "Swamp" blues. This concert performance of the complete five member band on Fest Blues Kolín 2011 festival, which is the very first and only in the Czech Republic, will definitely become one of the top events of the season not only for fans of this exceptional black artists, but even for all fans of finest blues music. The hottest rock ’n’ roll band Tom Twist from Leipzig, Germany, with their incredibly impressive show will close the program.
